A modern, über-functional minimalist take on the champagne column, I guess. Designed by Sebastian Bergne, who was showing at this year’s Haute Cuisine Paris, these futuristic beauties are both stackable and svelte. Sort of how Patrick Bateman likes his models.
And what Bergne’s champagne (sort of) flutes might lack in classical sophistication (well you try outdoing a pyramid of 300+ coupettes overflowing with bubbly on a 1930s cruiseship), they certainly makes up for in practicality. Sure we wish it had just a soupcon more character … but you have to admit: they do have a certain design je ne sais quoi – n’est pas?
