Beck’s Edison Bottle

Treading similar territory to Jun Fujiwara’s Re: Sound Bottle prototype, Beck’s new Edison Bottle – a similarly inspired and inspirational combination of music and booze bottles – is a fine example of how brands and agencies are actually capable of creating something with real validity sometimes (quoth the cynic).

In this case, shifting from the beer brand’s familiar (and iteratively less groundbreaking) Art Labels, the exterior of this swanky new Edison Bottle has been carved by the wily folk at Gyro Contructivists so that, when played on an updated version of Thomas Edison’s original phonograph machine, the apparently plain green bottle will actually play you music. In this case, Aukland band Ghost Wave’s new single. Surely this is the very future of the jukebox.
